"Simply amazing. It is the finest book of its type we have seen. All Massachusetts cities and towns should have a book like this."

A copy of An Extraordinary Town in Doug VB Goudie's right hand throughout the show. Fox producers used An Extraordinary Town as the historical guide for creating show questions and facts.

OVERVIEW
All towns have an interesting story to share although rarely are properly told. Few understand the impact of their community beyond town borders. Fewer still have explored their legacy and the impact of their citizens throughout America and the World.

For this reason historical reviews often fall short of their goals. To prevent a similar fate, a unique approach to information gathering and research was devised for this endeavor.

The goal was to produce a book that was more in depth and yet concise. Cover the town's full history and yet remain interesting to readers of all ages. Include powerful images and yet provide more comprehensive content than most publications. This book goes far beyond a basic historical review, it is a historical epiphany.

More than 60 discoveries were revealed during the creation of this book. Some of these discoveries will surprise you and some stories will inspire you. But one thing for is for certain; you will never look at small town American the same way again.
